Shopping for a New Car Seat

We went out last Sunday to find Varrah a big girl car seat since she has out grown her newborn one. We went to Babies R Us and Baby USA to find one. Varrah had the most fun at Baby USA since there were more things to play with. They have "nursery like set-ups" there and we just went around putting Varrah in different scenes and taking pictures. She liked the Bumbo Seat the best, we never got one for her, so she thought it was pretty cool. We did end up buying a new car seat for her that day and she loves it...she gets excited every time we put her in the car. It must be much nicer being able to look out the front window of the car facing the same way mommy and daddy are. We like it better because we can see her more easily.

Walk & Roll

Last night Varrah decided that it was time to really walk. For about the last month she has been taking 4 or 5 steps and then calling it quits, but last night she stood up and started trucking across the room. For the rest of the night up to her bed time she continued to show us that she enjoyed walking, with chirps of excitement and flails of her arms.

As if that wasn't a big enough accomplishment for one night, she also came to the conclusion that doing somersaults was fun :) While sitting on the couch with Erika she propped herself on her arms and somersaulted over. After doing it once she looked up at Mommy with a big smile and did it again, and again. At this rate she should be doing back flips by Christmas.

We didn't get a chance to capture some video to post, but we will so check back :D
